Outside The Eagle's Nest

Luxury Chalet Eagles' Nest (5-Star) (more photos here)
Eagles' Nest has seven delightful bedrooms all with full en-suite facilities, four of which have access to balconies and sleeps up to 16. On the third floor there is a large living room and adjoining dining area. The living room of the chalet has a central fireplace and huge picture windows providing lovely panoramic views across the valley. For extra luxury, the chalet features a superb sauna, a relaxing Hammam Steam Room, and for the ultimate in post-ride relaxation, a newly installed terrace hot tub. Centrally located and less than 200m from the nearest lift, the chalet also has sublime singletrack both to and from the front garden. The chalet is hosted by Sami & James who are experienced seasonnaires (and tA staff veterans) now living in Peisey valley all year round.

The Sauna The benefits of using our sauna are numerous. Not least because it is so relaxing and leaves your body soothed and your mind serene. It´s main advantage lies in the fact that it promotes sweating, helping the body to rid itself of toxins. It is also believed that exposure of the skin to heat stimulates the production of white blood cells and strengthens the immune system. The heat and humidity of the sauna also diffuses pain and relaxes tired muscles.

The Steam Room New for this summer a lush steam room is being installed indoors. A superb feature of this chalet, the Steam Room which features a Wet Room with two showers and separate WC, is great for hydrating the skin, while increased blood circulation leaves your skin glowing. .

Chalet Hot Tub There is a brand new & fantastic Hot Tub on the south facing terrace as an alternative to or in addition to the Sauna and Steam Room, from where you can appreciate this truly special location whilst sipping a glass of cold beer and watch the perfect sun set!

Inside The Goat Shed

The Goat Shed (3-Star) (more photos here)
The Goat Shed is a traditional stone-built Savoyard building, which has been recently renovated to a high standard, to provide a comfortable and spacious base for your holiday. The chalet has seven bedrooms, five of which have en-suite facilities and two bedrooms share a toilet and bathroom. The large open plan living area is on split levels and has a dining area and cosy lounge with a log burner. There is an additional lounge / chill area on the middle level for relaxing after dinner. The chalet is located on the quiet edge of town, but within 10 mins walk to the town centre / pubs. The "original" tA chalet (and some guests swear still the best)....we challenge you to find a mountain chef anywhere that can match the now legendardy cooking of in-house chef Gordie and friendly hospitality of chalet co-owner and host, Sophie.

The Catering
All three of the day's meals are provided by our friendly and professional dedicated catering hosts (NOT cooked by the guides!), and are tailored as far as possible to your individual needs. Breakfast is served continental style (a choice of cereals, baguettes and jams, eggs, coffee & tea etc). Lunch is provided daily, to take with you on the trails (baguette sandwich, crisps & chocolate bar), afternoon tea is available when you come back from riding (hot and cold drinks, plus cakes/biscuits) and dinner is a sumptuous 3-course meal with unlimited wine and coffee. Even the largest appetites will be satisfied by our meals and we are very experienced in accommodating any special dietary requirements (please let us know this when you book so we can prepare alternative meal options).

Evening Entertainment

If you're not worn out or craving a good night's sleep after a full-on day on the trails, there are several options at your disposal to burn the candle a bit more. Our village bar, "Les Trois Stations" is open for "giraffes" (4ft-tall columns of beer), shots, and cocktails at reasonable prices, over a game of pool. They also have a terrace bar which is always open for a cold pint at the end of the last run. For the more adventurous there is always Les Arcs' bongo-equipped Jungle Café to help send you on your way, serving good beer and booming out the coolest sounds of the 60's to 90's until 1am. After that, there are 3 nightclubs including the notorious Apocalypse to keep you going well into the early hours.

Family ∧ Alternative Sports and Activities

Here at trailAddiction we encourage EVERYONE to get into the mountains and this includes your non-mountain biking loved ones. Why not bring them along to be a part of your holiday? Email or call us for our heavily discounted non-biking rates.

Les Arcs and the Tarentaise Valley have plenty of sporting activities to offer but are also great for anyone who simply wants to unwind in an idyllic setting with great weather! For the seasoned shopper, the major town of Bourg St. Maurice is a short drive down the valley, and Annecy, one of the most beautiful medieval cities in France is an hour's drive away.

Our friendly chalet hosts are locals to the area and have much experience in helping to organise family activities - from sports (walking, tennis, paragliding, canoeing, white water rafting etc...) to plain sunbathing.
