Chalet Edelweiss (3/4-Star) (more photos here)
This majestic chalet has seven bedrooms all with full en-suite facilities with most of the bedrooms having personal balconies. On the third floor there is a large living room and adjoining cosy living area. The living room has a central fireplace and huge picture windows providing lovely views across the valley, as well as having a large garden and lots of communal balcony areas for relaxing in the evening sunshine. The chalet also benefits from having a sauna, situated on the second floor. Although the chalet is new it is decorated in a time-honoured style using plenty of antique timber and wooden beams to give it a traditional feel: there is the atmosphere of an old chalet but the facilities of a new one. We have ample parking directly outside the chalet and the main lift is only 100m from our door, with pubs and shops being only a few paces further away.

The Catering
All three of the day's meals are provided by our friendly and professional dedicated catering hosts (NOT cooked by the guides!), and are tailored as far as possible to your individual needs. Breakfast is served continental style (a choice of cereals, baguettes and jams, eggs, coffee & tea etc). Lunch is provided daily, to take with you on the trails (baguette sandwich, crisps & chocolate bar), afternoon tea is available when you come back from riding (hot and cold drinks, plus cakes/biscuits) and dinner is a sumptuous 3-course meal with unlimited wine and coffee. Even the largest appetites will be satisfied by our meals and we are very experienced in accommodating any special dietary requirements (please let us know this when you book so we can prepare alternative meal options).

Evening Entertainment
If you're not worn out or craving a good night's sleep after a full-on day on the trails, there are several options at your disposal to burn the candle a bit more. Our village bar, "Les Trois Stations" is open for "giraffes" (4ft-tall columns of beer), shots, and cocktails at reasonable prices, over a game of pool. They also have a terrace bar which is always open for a cold pint at the end of the last run. For the more adventurous there is always Les Arcs' bongo-equipped Jungle Café to help send you on your way, serving good beer and booming out the coolest sounds of the 60's to 90's until 1am. After that, there are 3 nightclubs including the notorious Apocalypse to keep you going well into the early hours.

Family ∧ Alternative Sports and Activities
Here at trailAddiction we encourage EVERYONE to get into the mountains and this includes your non-mountain biking loved ones. Why not bring them along to be a part of your holiday? Email or call us for our heavily discounted non-biking rates.
Les Arcs and the Tarentaise Valley have plenty of sporting activities to offer but are also great for anyone who simply wants to unwind in an idyllic setting with great weather! For the seasoned shopper, the major town of Bourg St. Maurice is a short drive down the valley, and Annecy, one of the most beautiful medieval cities in France is an hour's drive away.
Our friendly chalet hosts are locals to the area and have much experience in helping to organise family activities - from sports (walking, tennis, paragliding, canoeing, white water rafting etc...) to plain sunbathing.
