We stock on-site a selection of bike spares that are most commonly required by our guests:

-A choice of good quality pinchflat resistant downhill & all-mountain tyres, in various styles, brands and sizes. Tyre choice is always difficult so you may wish to try out the trails first before splashing out.
-Thicker Downhill-style inner tubes

We have a stock of spare brake pads for the following commonly used brakes:
Shimano XT/Saint, Hope Mini & Mono Mini, Hope M4 & Mono M4, Avid juicy, Hayes HFX9.

Plus new parts to replace the usual breakages we see a lot:
-Rear derailleurs (a selection of both SRAM and Shimano)
-Fork Oil
-Chains
-Gear cables
-Chain Lube
-Brake fluid / mineral oil
-Emergency Disc-Brake set. We have a spare set of powerful hydraulic disc brakes which we can loan you if your own brakes give up the ghost.
-Emergency Wheelset. If your wheel ends up looking like a pringle, we can get you rolling again with our spare set of wheels (standard QR hub only).

We also have a bike toolkit in each chalet, and even a welder if things go really bad! ;-) Our friendly resident mechanic, Steve, will be on hand every night with advice and to help patch things up if it all goes terribly wrong!

So, if you are travelling light / flying, we can happily supply you with the common spares/mods you'll need without paying a fortune in baggage excess. Or perhaps, like many of our customers, you aren't quite into the idea of "downhilling" and don't want to shell out for downhill tyres until you've seen the trails for yourself.

We also have several sets of arm and leg body armour to rent for a nominal charge, on a first-come-first-served basis (not pre-bookable).
