Pila
a freerider's paradise !
The Italian resort of Pila is Europe’s latest answer to Whistler. Accessed by lifts directly out of the city of Aosta at the valley base, the man-made freeride / DH terrain here is quite simply the best we’ve ever witnessed this side of the Atlantic (and the enthusiastic local team are building more and more stuff all the time!). This place was designed, built and refined by people who are clearly passionate about the sport of downhill mountain biking and freeride.

some stats / facts:
Lifts from 600m up to 2311m give way to 1700 metres (5600 ft) vertical of awesome riding
Pila is home to one of the worlds top 10 trails to ride before you die, the downhill-only “Collegamento” (as voted by MBR magazine)… come check it out for yourself ! Click here to see the article.
In 2005, Pila played host to a round of the UCI World Cup DH and 4X. The World Cup DH course forms the backbone of Pila’s freeride park.
Running adjacent to the DH course are half a dozen separate freeride tracks, each with their own personal feel and finished with a healthy dose of drops, wooden constructions and cheeky variations.
Pila’s sensational terrain coupled with our friendly accommodation in the buzzing base city of Aosta (and its easy access by road or air) make this place the ideal location for your latest adrenaline-packed freeride week or weekend.
